Some Technical Info

PersonalHx is made with with REALbasic, allowing it to run on Windows PC, Mac, or Linux operating systems, without having to create different source code for each platform. It also has the capacity to easily provide different language versions for a multicultural population of users.

It is intended for individual or family use. Each user's records can be stored in a file with initials and date, or whatever, as an identifier. This software is at beta test stage and has password protected access to the database. To simplify startup for demonstration and testing, the user may choose to bypass the password login by leaving that field blank. Optional encryption of the files is currently being tested and will be included in the next release.  In the meantime, there are other ways to do this simply. Currently the application has a simple print function.  Print formatting will be improved as we move to the latest release of REALbasic that has new report editor functions.

The capacity to import and export information readily, in a variety of formats, allows this program to be interoperable with other databases. Not only does this allow information transfer with commercial databases such as Microsoft Access, Mac’s Bento or FileMaker, but creates the potential for the patient to enter the information and then import it into your new EMR system. That results in quite a saving of your MOA staff time and overhead costs.

It  makes the patient a partner in their treatment. Another application in the eHealth4U software suite creates customized Healthy Activity Lists that can help motivate patients, especially those with Chronic Illness conditions -- more about that to come.
